so long, farewell...

As much as I’ve loved my little Tumblr blog, it’s on the bigger and better things. For the new version of Simply Sara, click here.

"I'm the first to know, my dearest friends, even if your hope has burned with time, anything that's dead shall be re-grown, and your vicious pain, your warning sign, you will be fine. Hey, oh, here I am. And here we go, life's waiting to begin."

–Lyrics from “The Adventure” by Angels & Airwaves, which was played at the Barack rally this week in Leesburg.

So appropriate. So perfect. 10 days…

Word on the street is that America’s favorite Canadian sweethearts, Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling, may be getting engaged.
Long. Deep. Sigh.
The two of them pretty much turn me to mush. My heart simultaneously beats faster and melts to a puddle whenever I even think about him….or her….or them together. They’re, like, electric.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
My dad has officially switched to his mock-tee wardrobe (a fashion trend he started in 1995 and still treats as his cold-weather uniform); college football is well underway (have I mentioned that I love Tim Tebow?); and the presidential election is just 33 days away. Given that I’ve actually started to have dreams about Barack Obama (in his pajamas), it’s an understatement to say that I’m excited for tonight’s debate. It should be interesting, to say the least.
Oh, and one more thing for all the DC/metro area democrats:

What: Barack the Vote 2008 Happy Hour(s)

When: November 4th, 7:30 p.m.

Where: TBD

I may not be a true food critic, but I do know a good mac n’ cheese when I taste one. Enter Founding Farmers.
Featuring modern twists on old-fasioned American favorites (think fried green tomatoes, mint juleps and red velvet cake), the menu at Foggy Bottom’s newest eatery is to die for. Not to mention, it’s a Certified Green Restaurant, so you can feel really good about eating well.
Must try….the Butternut Squash Ravioli. Heaven in your mouth.

Vita girl,
Thank you so much for the rompin’ good time at the dog park yesterday. Swimming in the muckity mucky Potomac River; plowing down joggers; slobbering loogies all over complete strangers—what’s not to love?
We make a great pair,
Winnie Cooper

ps. Thanks to my mom for my totally awesome Gator collar. Tim Tebow is my boyfriend.

Rachel Zoe, I love you so.
Calling all reality TV groupies! You must watch her new show on Bravo. It’s bananas! I die.
